About Ron Donoughe Ron Donoughe has been painting the Western Pennsylvania landscape for the last 40 years. He has dedicated his life’s work to documenting the region through long-term painting projects, spending a year or more on a particular theme or place. Ron works mostly outdoors on location – every season of the year. He lives in Pittsburgh and, as a result, many of his paintings reflect the grit and beauty of the region’s historic neighborhoods, alleyways, vistas, and industrial sites. Ron’s work is found in private and corporate collections as well as The Westmoreland Museum of American Art, the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art, and the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Museum. His 90 Pittsburgh Neighborhoods project is on permanent exhibition at The Heinz History Center. |
