Theme:
This year’s theme is “Transformation”. The theme may be interpreted however the artist feels appropriate. This theme challenges the artist to express change through personal growth, or, perhaps change in the environment that leads to a new way of looking at the world. Transformation can be interpreted in many ways and it will be exciting to see how BAA artists express this through their work.
Members are encouraged to follow the theme, but as per tradition members are not bound to follow the theme and may submit one piece of art on any theme or subject.
Requirements:
• Artists must be a member of the Berks Art Alliance. If not, you may join the Berks Art Alliance at the intake for the show.
Each member may submit ONE piece of art.
• The artwork should not exceed 30 inches by 40 inches in any direction. The artwork must be wired for hanging, no sawtooth hangers please.
• Sculpture and or 3D work may be submitted, but the artist must supply a sturdy base for the piece to be exhibited. Weight limit is 50 lbs.
• Artwork based on copies of other artists' work should be identified as such.
• We encourage all members to submit work that is for sale; the commission helps to support Yocum Institute, our home.
• Work may not be withdrawn before the end of the show. Sold work must stay until the show closes.
