2025 BERKS ART ALLIANCE MEMBER SHOW
Theme
This year’s theme is “Connection.” The idea of connection can be broadly interpreted as connections between people or ideas, connections between shapes or colors, connections between objects or patterns.
Members are encouraged to follow the theme, but as per tradition, members are not bound to this theme and may submit one piece of art on any theme or subject.

Physical Intake:
Wednesday: February 12 / 5 pm-8 pm
Thursday: February 13 / 2 pm - 6 pm
Hanging:
Friday February 14 / 10 am - ?
Opening Reception:
Sunday February 16, 2025 / 2 pm-4 pm / Yocum Institute for Arts Education
Exhibit Dates:
February 16 - March 16, 2025
Pickup:
Sunday March 16 / 3 pm - 5 pm
Requirements
Each member may submit ONE piece of art.
Artwork should not exceed 30” x 40” in any direction.
2D artwork must be wired for hanging, no sawtooth hangers.
Sculpture and/or 3D work may be submitted. The artist must supply a sturdy base on which the piece will be exhibited. Weight limit is 50 lbs.
Artwork based on copies of other artists’ work should be identified as such.
All members are encouraged to submit work that is for sale. The commission helps to support Yocum Institute, our home.
Work may not be withdrawn before the end of the show. Any work that is sold must remain until the show closes.
Sales
There is no online storefront for this show. Yocum Institute will handle all sales and take a 30% commission.
Submission Information
Digital Submission of Artwork Details and Image
Digital submissions prior to drop-off are recommended to facilitate intake, hanging, and promotion of the show. Enter your label information using the form at the bottom of the Call for Entry webpage (https://www.berksartalliance.com/2025-member-show.html) to submit your artwork information.
The online form is used to generate wall labels for the exhibition as well as the three-part identification tags.
For those unable to enter digital information, paper identification tags will be available at intake.
Instructions for online form
Enter your First and Last name, Title of Artwork, Media, Dimensions of Artwork, and Email the appropriate boxes.
You are encouraged, but not required, to submit a digital image of your work for publicity purposes. Optionally upload an image of your artwork in the File Upload section. Images of artwork may be used for social media and publicity.
Images specifications:
At least 1800 pixels on the longest side.
JPG or JPEG format
No larger than 5MB
File name format:
FIRSTNAMELASTNAME_TitleCase_MEDIA.JPG

After you’ve entered all required information, submit the form. After you click the SUBMIT button, your information is available to all virtual platforms. If you make a mistake, please email Mary Ann Mengel at [email protected] to have a correction entered.
Physical Drop-off of Artwork
All submissions should be dropped off in person at the Yocum Institute for Art Education, 3000 Penn Avenue, West Lawn, PA.
Drop-off times:

Awards
Voting for awards will take place in-person at the reception. Only active members are eligible to vote.
1st Place - $350.00
2nd place - $200.00
3rd place - $100.00
Honorable Mention – 3 prizes of $50.00
